Last month was the first Everywoman conference in Edinburgh and I came away inspired again having met the amazing Polly Murray, adventurer, explorer and first Scottish women to conquer Everest. She had to leave at lunchtime as she was heading off to Antartica (lucky thing) I met lots of new and interesting fellow businesswomen from Sandra McClumpha, owner of Fake Bake to Karen MaCartney who has set up a new company called Informed Women in Edinburgh. What an amazing group of women.

I have just booked the lovely Sarah Heaney, TV presenter on a recent holiday to the delights of the Shangri-la Hotel in Oman. Oman provided the rest and relaxation she needed just before the arrival of baby no 2 in May. Imagine my delight when she called me last week and offered me 2 tickets to the " hottest lunch in town". The Women of Influence Lunch at the beautiful Barony Hall in Glasgow for NCH Scotland. After getting my hands on my ticket my Initial thought was - what on earth am I going to wear-so new dress out ,new shoes and bag and off I went.
