I like to think of myself as a specialist on the beautiful island of Mauritius having booked a variety of holidays there from weddings to honeymoons and family holidays. Last night I went to a fabulous event in Edinburgh which was sponsored by Air Mauritius, the tourist board and various hotel suppliers.

As well as coming back desperately wanting to go on holiday I also learnt a lot about the type of clients who now holiday there. The increase in top quality children’s clubs, discounts for teenagers, all inclusive resorts and fabulous new properties opening up really does make Mauritius a top destination for families. Golfers can be easily pleased with amazing courses, quite the golfer’s paradise. My favorite hotel was the Constance Belle Mare Plage and even in the current economic climate it can still be a very affordable family holiday.
